Always reliable service

I've been using CreditLadder for over a year now, mainly for their Experian and TransUnion Rent Reporting. This is my third time renewing, I think. Each time, it's been the same smooth process. My rent always gets reported without any fuss, which is why I keep coming back. I even upgraded to Premium this last time to see if the extra features were worth it; it's a bit early to tell on those, but the main rent reporting is as reliable as ever. Consistent service is key for me.

Worth it for the price

I signed up for CreditLadder Basic after looking into different options for reporting my rent. I was mainly focused on the cost. It wasn't free, but the monthly fee for the Rent Reporting was very reasonable. I made sure to compare it with other similar services, and CreditLadder offered the best value for what I needed. It seemed like a smart way to try and boost my credit score without spending too much. The process was clear, and it felt like a good investment for my financial future.

Worked out great

So I decided to try out CreditLadder because my friend kept talking about improving her credit. I went for the Credit Builder for Tenants thing. Setting it up was pretty simple, I just followed the steps. My rent payments are apparently getting reported now. Haven't checked my score in detail yet, but it feels good to know I'm doing something positive for it. No drama, just worked.

Easy to set up

I used CreditLadder for Experian Rent Reporting. It was straightforward to sign up. My rent payments started showing up pretty quickly. No issues so far.

Good service, small hiccup

I signed up for CreditLadder's Multi-Agency Reporting a few months back. The main service, getting my rent on my credit file, works well and has been consistent. My score did see a slight bump after a while, which was the goal. However, I tried using the Credit Score Monitoring feature, and it felt a bit basic compared to other services I've used. It's not a deal-breaker, but it could offer more insights. Overall, good value for the core service.

Anyone know how CreditLadder compares to Loqbox or ClearScore for building credit? Different beasts or similar?

S Sarah Evans 3 weeks ago
They're a bit different. Loqbox is more like a forced savings thing that builds credit, ClearScore is just monitoring. CreditLadder is specifically for rent payments which is a big chunk of your outgoings that usually gets ignored.

Yeah, CreditLadder focuses on getting your rent onto your report which the others don't really do. ClearScore is just seeing your score. Loqbox is more like a loan you pay back to yourself.

thinking about cancelling CreditLadder, is it a pain or pretty straightforward?

H Hannah Scott 1 month ago
Super easy. Just log in and there's a cancel option in your account settings. No drama.

Yeah, I cancelled for a bit when I moved. Just a few clicks, very simple. Didn't have to call anyone.

Is CreditLadder legit? Like, does it actually help with getting a mortgage eventually or is it just a gimmick?

R Robert 4 weeks ago
It's legit. My score went up a fair bit after a few months and my mortgage broker actually mentioned it as a positive. It's not a magic bullet but it helps build history.

Yeah, it's real. Being FCA regulated is a good sign. It's basically just getting your rent officially recognized, which banks like.

how long does it usually take for rent payments to actually show up on your credit report after signing up with CreditLadder?

S Steven K. 1 month ago
Mine took about a month or so to appear on Experian. It's not instant, gotta be patient.

K Kyle Taylor 1 month ago
I think they say it can take up to 6 weeks for the first payment to show, then it's monthly after that. Mine was pretty quick, like 3 weeks.

Can I use CreditLadder if I rent from a private landlord, not an agency? My landlord is just a guy I know.

B Brittany Torres 5 days ago
Yep, you totally can. They just need your landlord's details to confirm things, but it works fine for private rentals.

S Susan T. 3 days ago
Yeah, I pay my private landlord directly and it works. They just ask for his bank details to verify the payments.
